Pregnancy ultrasound

Transvaginal ultrasound
is an internal exam. It can check for complications in the development of an unborn baby, and check the mother's lower reproductive and digestive organs.
Vaginal ultrasound

detects problems with the kidneys. Also known as kidney ultrasound, it checks for kidney stones and renal failure. The kidneys filter blood and are critical in the body's function.
